In my book, it is officially hot chocolate season. Why not upgrade your recipe with some supportive herbs.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup warm frothed milk
- 1/3 cup hot water
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder
- 1/2 teaspoon He Shou Wu
- maple syrup to taste
- splash of vanilla
- pinch of sea salt
Pearl Powder whipped cream ingredients:
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon Pearl Powder
- splash maple syrup and vanilla
In a mug, combine the hot water, cacao powder, he shou wu, maple syrup, vanilla and sea salt. Combine with an electric whisk. Top with frothed milk. To make the whipped cream, add all ingredients to a container and blend on high until thick and fluffy. Top hot cocoa with whipped cream and indulge!
